I thought I’d make one more set of beaded earrings that resemble the previous black and white ones. These also have dangles sporting swarovski crystals.
All of the seed beads are iridescent. In the photo, the earwire looks gold, but it is really 20 gauge fine silver wire. I used 3 MM square beads for the top brick stitched part, which were too big to fit with the bugle beads being ladder stitched together. So, instead of starting with the bugle beads in a ladder stitch, which is typical for this type of earring, I made them the beginning of each of the dangles and, after the earrings were finished, I stitched the ends of the bugle beads together so that they were touching.
After three similar styles of earrings in different colors, I decided to put together a couple of sets in a different style.
These are the red and silver earrings, below. Essentially, these still began with a top section of brick stitched beads, but the dangles dropped down to an angled bottom of drop beads. These have an AB swarovski crystal slipped into the fine silver earwire.
I decided to made another set of earrings in this same style, but this time in silver and blue, below. As I tend to get bored doing the same type of earring multiple times, I’ll be trying out different styles in different colors soon.
