This post is a bit of an introduction about me in photos. It depicts some of my exhibits and working sessions. I will update this post as time goes on when I have another photo that fits. When I have enough photos, I hope to make this into a short slideshow. Probably the most relevant parts of the photos is the way I dress. For shows, I like to dress up fancy, which, to me, means a bit over the top and hats. I’m a bit of a ham; I used to act in community theater musicals.
At the artwalks, I dressed very casual and comfortable. And when I am working at home or in a workshop, I also dress comfortably. There’s no reason to be hammy on those occasions. Although I did take the opportunity at the artwalks to advertise by wearing a T-shirt with the name Visual Gems Studio on it.
The first photo is from one of my Adelente Health Care shows. It was my first one, in fact. I sold two paintings at this show.
These next photos are at two 4-hour art walks that I tried last year. It was not very productive for me. They were the first two times that art walks had been held at that particular location, and there were not enough visitors to make it worthwhile.
The next photos were taken at the second yearly West Valley Art Museum show that I was in. The first one was in 2012. This one was the “Celebration of Artists 2013.” Three of my paintings made it into that show.
The next photo is of me putting together a collage. This particular collage hasn’t yet been finished, and it may never be finished.
