Recently, I completed two necklaces that are beaded with an open weave stitch. They both have two tiers of diamond motifs. I have included images below:
In this post, I show a beading diagram so that you can bead the entire necklace. I also have included a video that goes through the beading of one diamond motif. (I learned to bead this stitch and make this necklace in a beading class at The Bead Museum in Glendale, AZ, which is no longer operational. The instructor was Lana May of www.lana-bead.sitecity.ru) Below is the diagram. The larger red beads are size 11 round sead beads. The smaller black beads are size 11 delicas. The sead beads form the diamond shapes and the delicas form the background color. The triangular beads on the bottom two strands are drop beads.
Below is the video, also found on YouTube. It is just under 32 minutes long, and should give you a good idea as to how to bead the entire necklace.
Have fun beading this necklace. If you want the necklace but don’t want to go through the long process of beading it, please see my open weave necklace for sale on this website.
